1. About these terms

These terms cover the SelectSight browser extension and its public website, provided by an independent developer reachable at j.ohnie@outlook.com. By using SelectSight, you agree to use it under these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the website and remove the extension.

2. What SelectSight provides

SelectSight helps you recognize and copy text from supported webpage images, paused video frames, and screenshot regions. Local OCR is free and needs no sign-in. Optional cloud recognition requires a verified email account and available credits. You authorize processing of the selected content when you confirm a cloud request. Website screenshots and recordings show example workflows and do not guarantee a particular result on your content.

Browser restrictions, device performance, website changes, and image quality can affect functionality. Supported workflows and known limits are described on the Support page.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You retain any rights you already hold in content you process. SelectSight does not claim ownership of your screenshots or recognized text. Using the extension does not grant rights in someone else’s content.

Use SelectSight only for content you are entitled to access and process, and comply with applicable law and the relevant website’s terms. Do not use the website to interfere with services, access systems without permission, or infringe others’ rights.

OCR can make mistakes. Review the result before relying on it, particularly for names, numbers, instructions, financial information, or other consequential content. You are responsible for how you use or share the copied result.

4. Privacy and third-party services

The Privacy Policy describes local and cloud content processing, account data, service providers, website requests, and support correspondence. Other websites, Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, your email provider, and applications you paste into have their own terms and privacy practices.

SelectSight uses third-party software and models. Their applicable licenses govern those components; see Third-party Licenses. These terms do not override rights granted by those licenses.

5. Availability and warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SelectSight is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or suitability for a particular purpose. We may update, change, or discontinue features. We do not promise support response times or compatibility with every website.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of SelectSight, including losses caused by inaccurate recognition or unavailable features. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Stopping use and changes

You can stop using SelectSight at any time by disabling or removing the extension. Uninstalling does not remove content you have already copied or saved in other applications.

Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be explained as appropriate to the affected feature. For questions about these terms, contact j.ohnie@outlook.com.

7. Pro subscriptions and refunds

Pro costs USD $2.90 per month or $29.90 per year, billed annually, with recurring renewals until cancelled. Both plans grant 300 cloud credits each month. Monthly balances do not roll over; annual balances are capped at 600. A verified email receives 10 one-time free cloud credits. Local recognition is free. Each cloud enhancement request costs 0.5 credits. Each structured recognition or structured export request costs 1 credit. Charges do not depend on character count. Copying or saving an existing result has no additional recognition charge. Failed requests are refunded; retries of the same request are not charged twice. The confirmation shows each request’s credit cost. The Refund Policy applies: you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first monthly or annual purchase. Renewal payments are generally non-refundable; contact us about duplicate charges or service failures.

Cancelling stops future renewals and, without a refund, leaves access available until the end of the paid period. Cancellation does not automatically request a refund. A full refund ends the paid access covered by that payment. Uninstalling the extension does not cancel a subscription.
